During this period, the company’s ships have transported over 1.25 million passengers.
The shipping company GNV, part of the MSC group, celebrated its first ten years of operations on the Italy-Albania route, a service inaugurated in August 2015 that has transported over 1.25 million passengers to date. The anniversary was celebrated in Durrës aboard the GNV Antares ship, with around 100 guests in attendance, including customers, commercial partners, and institutions, welcomed by Matteo Della Valle, GNV’s commercial director, along with a management delegation and the ship’s captain, Vito Malato.
The company specified that in 2024, a significant increase in volumes was recorded on this route, with a projected growth of +6% in 2025. This positive trend is also confirmed by the results of the last three months—April, May, and June—which show a +14% increase compared to the same period last year, a trend the company expects to continue throughout this summer. Currently operating on the Bari-Durrës route with daily frequency is the GNV Antares, which can accommodate around 1,700 passengers and has a garage with a capacity of 1,800 linear meters, allowing for the boarding of a large number of vehicles.
