Di Caterina (ALIS): a concrete tool that enhances the needs of businesses and strengthens the logistics system

The Unione Interporti Riuniti (UIR) welcomes the publication of the “LogIN Business” call, promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and funded under the PNRR, with an allocation of 157 million euros for the digitalization of the logistics chain. The call provides funding for purchases and/or digitalization projects that meet intermodal objectives (40% co-financing of costs) or under the “de minimis” regime (in these cases, the contribution can cover up to 100% of costs).

UIR highlighted that the call represents a concrete step toward the digital transition of the logistics and intermodal sector, with the aim of incentivizing advanced technological solutions, improving data exchange among supply chain actors, and making freight transport more efficient and sustainable. “Digitalization,” emphasized the association’s president, Matteo Gasparato, “is the pillar on which to build the logistics of the future. The MIT’s call represents a concrete opportunity to modernize processes, promote interoperability among different transport modes, and enhance the central role of interports as technologically advanced and integrated nodes in the national logistics system. Now it is crucial that resources are used strategically, with a shared public-private strategy that leverages the infrastructural excellence already present in our country.”

The Associazione Logistica dell’Intermodalità Sostenibile (ALIS) also welcomed the publication of the call, which—stated Vice President Marcello Di Caterina—”represents a concrete signal of attention toward the modernization of the logistics and freight transport sector.” “The call,” he added, “fits perfectly into the growth and revival path outlined by the PNRR and recognizes digitalization as a strategic role in making the entire logistics chain more efficient, secure, and sustainable. Measures like this will enable companies to implement technological solutions for information sharing among operators, dematerialization of transport documents, load optimization, and modal integration, in line with European interoperability objectives.” “ALIS,” concluded Di Caterina, “applauds the commitment of MIT and RAM for creating a concrete tool that addresses the needs of businesses and contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of our logistics system at the national and international level. We will continue to work proactively alongside institutions to promote innovation, sustainability, and simplification in the world of transport and logistics.
