Princess Cruises will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a season of Southern Caribbean cruises on Grand Princess, from October 2025 through March 2026.

Grand Princess had been scheduled to sail Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific voyages from Brisbane and Sydney.

Expanding North American departure points

It has been more than a decade since Princess homeported in San Juan. The movefurther expands the variety of departure points across North America, following such additions as Port Canaveral.

‘Puerto Rico remains one of the fastest-growing destinations in the Caribbean and continues to attract new airlift from source markets across the US as well as markets in Europe and South America, which makes it a great fit for Princess,’ Chief Commercial Officer Terry Thornton said.

‘Plus, there are many outstanding options to choose from for a great pre- or post-cruise stay.’

Two alternating seven-night itineraries

From San Juan, the ship will sail two alternating, seven-night itineraries to many destinations not available on weeklong cruises departing from Florida.

One itineraryincludes Tortola, St. Kitts, Dominica, Grenada and Barbados, while the other features St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Vincent and Barbados. The two cruises may be combined.

‘This announcement underscores our commitment to cement San Juan as the leading homeport in the region, where guests can sail throughout the wonderful ports of the Eastern and Southern Caribbean,’ said Carlos Mercado Santiago, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Co. ‘Furthermore, the sailings will help drive economic development for both Puerto Rico and our regional partners.’
