Commissioner Gariglio highlighted that the authority has ongoing works already funded for over 1 billion euros

Livorno – The green light for the 2026 forecast budget of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port System Authority. The accounting document, presented by the administrative manager Simone Gagiliani, recently received a positive opinion from the Partnership Body for the Marine Resource and will be approved in the coming days by the extraordinary commissioner of the Palazzo Rosciano Authority, Davide Gariglio.

The capital expenditure included in the budget by the Adsp for the next fiscal year amounts to over 41 million euros in total. Of these, over 22 million euros have been allocated to infrastructure works and to ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.

The investment package includes the 7 million euros allocated for the construction of a new quay at the Andana delle Ancore and the 4.6 million euros for the construction of a new steel bridge on the Cala del Magnale. Among the interventions to mention are also those related to the design of the new movable bridge on the Scolmatore, for which 1.2 million euros have been entered in the budget, and the 375 thousand euros necessary for the renovation of the building called Ex Locamare in Rio Marina.

“Reading the forecast budget allows us to understand the significant work carried out by the offices to complete the planned investments,” said Davide Gariglio at the opening of the Body, recalling how over the years the Adsp has been able to implement its proposal and design capacity, developing an extremely ambitious three-year works program.

The investment needs undertaken by the authority within the framework of the 2026-2028 programming amount to over 337 million euros in total.

The commissioner of the Palazzo Rosciano authority, in a logic of transparency, has raised the need to share with institutions, social partners, and the business world, the investment priorities in the medium to long term, also expressing the need to identify adequate financial coverage for these works, since the investments are considerable.

Gariglio highlighted that the authority has ongoing works already funded for over 1 billion euros, of which 554 million euros are allocated for the construction of the Darsena Europa.

“What emerges from the document is a healthy accounting framework, based on full respect for the principle of economy in administrative action,” stated the commissioner of the Palazzo Rosciano authority, adding that “with this budget we aim to maintain high levels of efficiency in the management of the authority’s resources, albeit in a context marked by a shortage of financial resources available to carry forward the strategic plan of investments planned over the three-year period.”
