The exiled leader of Hamas in Gaza Khaled al-Hayya announced tonight that the organization received guarantees from the USA, the Arab mediators and Turkey that the war in the Palestinian enclave has ended permanently.
“We declare the end of the war today and the beginning of a permanent truce,” al-Hayya said, according to the Reuters agency.
The agreement includes the opening of the Rafah border crossing in both directions, he added.
Based on the agreements, Israel will release all underage Palestinians and women.
The organization received guarantees from the mediators and the American government, all of whom confirmed that the war is over, he added.
