Hartmann Reederei has announced the next phase of its long-term digital transformation programme, signing a Memorandum of Understanding with maritime software developer Sealogic Ltd. for the implementation of a full suite of integrated ship management solutions.

The agreement underlines Hartmann Reederei’s continued commitment to positioning itself at the forefront of modern data technologies in ship management – leveraging cloud-native systems, integrated workflows, and real-time operational data to bring fleet management and logistics to new standards of efficiency and transparency.

The first step in this journey was the deployment of Sealogic’s E-CMS (Electronic Crew Management System) across the Hartmann Reederei fleet 18 months ago. The system replaced fragmented legacy tools and delivered a measurable leap in the quality and consistency of crewing operations – from certificate compliance and rest hours management to crew planning and document workflows.

“E-CMS has proven its value in our daily operations from the first months of use,” said Capt. Georg Haase Hartmann Reederei. “When we evaluated which partner should support the next stages of our digital roadmap, the choice was clear. Sealogic has consistently delivered on quality, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of how ship management actually works. There was no doubt about who we would contract for the next steps.”

Under the new MoU, Hartmann Reederei and Sealogic will develop and roll out additional core modules over the coming phases forming fully integrated ship management system.

The initiative reflects Hartmann Reederei’s broader strategic direction: consolidating critical operational systems onto a single modern platform, replacing legacy point solutions, and building a data foundation that supports both day-to-day operational excellence and longer-term decisions on fleet performance, compliance, and sustainability.

“Our industry is changing faster than at any point in recent memory,” added Capt. Haase. “Regulatory demands, crew expectations, and commercial pressures all point in the same direction – toward integrated, intelligent, and reliable software. With Sealogic, we have a partner that builds for that reality.”

The first new modules under the expanded partnership are expected to enter operational deployment within the Hartmann Reederei fleet during 2026.
