ROTTERDAM – The participation of the Autorità di Sistema Portuale (AdSP) of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea at Breakbulk Europe 2026, the world reference trade fair for the breakbulk, project cargo and out-of-gauge cargo sector, ended with an extremely positive outcome. The Dutch mission confirmed the leading role of the Upper Tyrrhenian ports in the management of complex industrial logistics and large infrastructure projects, sectors that confirm themselves as strategic pillars for the national maritime economy.

The presence of the AdSP was part of the collective delegation coordinated by Assoporti (Italian Ports Association). The initiative offered a high-level international showcase to promote the efficiency of the Italian logistics network and its centrality as a natural hub in the Mediterranean basin, a true privileged gateway to the main European markets.

The Rotterdam event represented an important business and networking opportunity, allowing the top management of the AdSP of Livorno to initiate and consolidate relationships with the main global players, including logistics operators, freight forwarders, shipping companies and international investors.

The objective of the mission was to strengthen existing partnerships and attract new commercial traffic flows towards the Italian coast.

The success of the Italian participation was the result of close collaboration between institutions and the private sector. A key role in coordinating the entire delegation was played by Assoporti.

Finally, the active presence and teamwork of the private operators of the Port of Livorno, who resolutely promoted the excellence and competitiveness of the local port community on the global stage, were fundamental.
