Infoplaza launches voyage optimisation and compliance software

Must read

Infoplaza has introduced i-nav, a new platform combining voyage optimisation with vessel reporting and compliance functions.

The software integrates routing, weather and vessel performance modelling, using the TVOS routing engine developed by Theyr with The Alan Turing Institute and the University of Southampton.

The system’s multi-objective genetic algorithm evaluates hundreds of thousands of possible routes, optimising for fuel savings, CO₂ emissions, just-in-time arrival, safety, and charter party compliance, while monitoring greenhouse gas and EU ETS status.

The application also incorporates Infoplaza’s weather forecasting services, based on blended global models updated four times daily. Vessel modelling tools simulate performance under different conditions, taking into account hull design, propulsion, loading, and hydrodynamic effects.

The i-nav software also adds automated event-based reporting for noon reports, capturing operational data at milestones such as start and end of sea passage, manoeuvring, and bunkering.

Post-voyage analytics are available to provide comparisons between actual performance and contractual terms.
