Inner Mongolia grassland railway has transported over 100 million tons of cargo this year.

China News Service, Hohhot, May 13 (Reporter Li Aiping) China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. announced on the 13th that as the main force of Inner Mongolia grassland railways, the company has cumulatively transported 100.4 million tons of cargo since the beginning of this year, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%.

According to official data, since the beginning of this year, the Erenhot Railway Port in Inner Mongolia and the Zamyn-Uud Station in Mongolia have achieved fast loading and unloading of trains and efficient connections. Currently, there are 75 China-Europe freight train routes operating via the Erenhot Railway Port, with over 1,700 China-Europe freight trains having passed through; the port’s import and export volume has exceeded 6.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%. The efficient operation of the port provides important support for smoothing the domestic and international dual circulation.

Since the beginning of this year, China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. has signed logistics total package contracts with more than 50 key enterprises in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, locking in an annual transport volume of 88.23 million tons, signing 34 port-bound logistics total package projects, and cumulatively transporting 72.56 million tons of coal.

It is worth mentioning that China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. has also developed 23 “single document system” rail-water intermodal transport routes, covering major dispatch stations such as Shaliang, Wuhai North, and Baotou Jiuyuan, reaching coastal ports such as Tianjin Xingang, Caofeidian West, and Jinzhou Port. The operation network continues to be densified, helping goods such as steel, coke, and chemicals travel by train out of the region to the sea.

Since the beginning of this year, China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. has cumulatively operated 324 multimodal transport trains, a year-on-year increase of 56.5%; 116 intercity trains, a year-on-year increase of 110.9%; projects such as the “Linhe to Tianjin Port to Qinzhou Port and Yangjiang Port” soda ash rail-water intermodal transport and the “Shaliang to Jingtang Port to Dalian Port” coke rail-water intermodal transport have been successively implemented, injecting new momentum into regional economic development.
