Installation of temporary pontoons off Amber Beacon & Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore

From 6 to 22 22 January, temporary pontoons are being installed off Amber Beacon and Changi Exhibition Centre.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.004 of 2023 dated 8 January 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

OFF AMBER BEACON

3 01° 17.835’N 103° 54.516’E
4 01° 17.898’N 103° 54.492’E

OFF CHANGI EXHIBITION CENTRE

3 01° 22.029’N 104° 01.674’E
4 01° 21.875’N 104° 01.589’E

Floating pontoons will be installed with the use of crane barge supported by work boats and tugboats.

Diving operations may be carried out during the course if the installation during daylight hours only.

A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control) and VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with Control for assistance, if required.
