Must read

On the 25th, K Shipbuilding announced that it has secured orders for four 50,000-ton (t) oil chemical product carriers. Notably, these vessels are designed to facilitate a transition to eco-friendly fuel propulsion systems, such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) or methanol.

This month, K Shipbuilding announced that it has signed shipbuilding contracts for a total of four vessels with two European shipping companies. The newly ordered vessels will be designed to meet the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) phase 3, reflecting the strengthened environmental regulatory standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

With this order, K Shipbuilding is reporting that its business activities have entered a stable trajectory. A company official noted, “With financial support from UAMCO, production stabilization and compliance capabilities have improved, enhancing our competitive edge in securing orders,” and explained, “The strengthening environmental regulations worldwide and the demand for replacing aging vessels positively impact the newbuilding market.”
