Konecranes launched its first electric reach stacker at the TOC Asia exhibition in Singapore, expanding its range of low- to zero-tailpipe-emission equipment as demand for electrified port solutions grows. The company also announced that its Remote Services offering is now accessible globally, enabling customers to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime without requiring on-site personnel.

The electric reach stacker will be available from launch in the APAC, Middle East and Africa, and South American markets. The machine uses a high-performance electric drivetrain powered by high-energy Li-Ion batteries, offering up to 16 hours of working time while maintaining productivity in lifting and transporting cargo containers.

Andreas Falk, SVP Lift Trucks at Konecranes, said: “We are committed to innovating and producing the best lift trucks and solutions for our customers across the world. I’m pleased to say that with the new electric reach stacker we have a portfolio of fully electrified lift trucks that can help our customers improve their operations, whether they’re in ports or steel mills, or if they’re working one shift or 24/7 operations.”

Konecranes has expanded Remote Services to cover the APAC region, completing its global rollout. The service provides immediate troubleshooting at first contact, followed by expert guidance for on-site diagnostics. Terminal operators in Southeast Asia and Europe have already used Remote Services to enhance operational efficiency.

Throughout 2025, Konecranes introduced several technologies aimed at helping ports remain competitive, including the Konecranes Noell Hydrogen Fuel Cell Straddle Carrier, the Konecranes E-Hybrid RTG, and an electric empty container handler. These additions contribute to a product portfolio offering low- to zero-tailpipe-emission options. All launches form part of Ecolifting, Konecranes’ initiative to increase its environmental handprint through products and services designed to reduce customers’ carbon footprints, ranging from eco-optimized diesel drives to fully electrified fleets.

Konecranes is a publicly listed corporation headquartered in Finland and traded on Nasdaq Helsinki under the symbol KCR. The company operates globally as a provider of material handling technologies, serving industrial, logistics and port customers. Its activities cover the design, manufacture, maintenance and modernization of lifting equipment, supported by a network of professional staff across multiple regions.
