Following a competitive tender, North of England Club is
in the process of appointing new auditors. As part of this process the current
auditors have formally resigned and provided a statutory statement detailing
their reasons for ceasing to hold office.
The resignation is part of a managed transition to a new
supplier following a competitive tender process and proposals to appoint new
auditors will be submitted to Members for approval at the 2022 Annual General
Meeting which is due to be held in November 2022.
KPMG stated that “The reason connected with our
ceasing to hold office is the holding of a competitive tender for the audit, in
which we were unsuccessful in retaining the audit”.
