The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Adsp of the Northern Central Tyrrhenian Sea: “This way we can give a certain future to the ports of Lazio”
Civitavecchia – The process for the strategic system planning document (Dpss), the instrument that defines the development vision for the ports of the Lazio network, has resumed. The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Adsp of the Northern Central Tyrrhenian Sea Raffaele Latrofa has called a meeting with representatives of the Lazio Region and the Municipalities of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta. “We have – states Latrofa – a clear objective: to resume a fundamental process and finally bring it to its conclusion. The Dpss is the strategic compass for the future of our ports. Without this document, we cannot start the port master plans, nor give coherence and perspective to our development projects. It is regrettable to have had to note that more than a year and a half has been lost for a document fundamental to the strategic planning of the three ports. For this reason, I have decided to immediately take back the initiative to bring it to completion.”
The Dpss process was initiated in June 2023 with a resolution by the Management Committee. Latrofa also proposed an operational timeline to be started immediately with the establishment of a technical-political coordination group, leading within a few weeks to the start of the Service Conference, in order to achieve the final approval of the Dpss in the management committee in the first months of 2026, with its submission to the Mit. Subsequently, the procedures for the three port master plans can then begin.
