On the afternoon of October 11, the third 41,000 DWT series chemical tanker (XSI501C) built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry for German Tanker Shipping was successfully launched at the company’s No. 2 berth. The shipowner, ship surveyor representatives, and relevant responsible persons attended the ceremony. Before the launch, the ship exhibited outstanding completeness indicators, laying a solid foundation for subsequent harbor tests and delivery.

This series of ships is specially customized by Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry for the transportation needs of the oil and chemical market and can be adapted for the loading requirements of various oils and chemicals. Before the launch, key projects such as the electrical system, engine room area, hull structure, piping system, and liquid cargo system of the XSI501C ship progressed efficiently. This successful launch not only reflects Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry’s “high quality, high efficiency” construction goals but also provides a replicable construction management model for the subsequent ships in the series, marking a further enhancement of Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry’s technical maturity and project management capabilities in the field of medium-sized chemical tanker construction.

On the morning of October 12, 2025, the keel laying ceremony for the 41,000 DWT chemical tanker (XSI501D) built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry for German Tanker Shipping was held at Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry. Liu Haizhen, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, shipowner representatives, ship surveyor representatives, and relevant responsible persons attended the ceremony, marking the official entry of the ship into the hull block assembly stage.

Currently, Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry is efficiently advancing multiple projects in parallel. The company is currently advancing multiple projects in parallel, solidifying the foundation for the successful completion of the annual production and operation tasks and continuously demonstrating its determination to overcome challenges.

The 41,000 DWT chemical tanker built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry has a total length of approximately 199.0 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, a depth of 16.6 meters, a design draft of 11.1 meters, and a scantling draft of 12.0 meters. The deadweight at the design draft is 41,000 tons. The design complies with the latest environmental regulations and is equipped with a ballast water treatment system and a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, meeting the new International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations.
