On the afternoon of November 5th, the “Fenjin Yungang” vessel set sail from Lianyungang to Manila, marking the opening of a foreign trade feeder route jointly developed by Lianyungang Hulian Container Co., Ltd., Shanghai Yuzhou Shipping Co., Ltd., and SITC Container Lines Co., Ltd.
This route establishes a one-stop efficient logistics system of “Customs declaration in Lianyungang – Customs transit in Quanzhou – Direct to Manila”: After goods complete customs clearance at Lianyungang Port, they are transported via the feeder route to Quanzhou Port for customs transit procedures, then seamlessly connect with foreign trade vessels, finally arriving directly at Manila Port in the Philippines.
It is understood that previously, foreign trade goods from Lianyungang Port destined for Southeast Asia needed to be transshipped through ports like Shanghai and Ningbo, often facing issues such as cumbersome transport links, tight space, and high costs. After the new route’s opening, goods departing from Lianyungang Port can reach Manila in as little as 6 days, shortening the transit time by 4-6 days compared to the past. This significantly improves transport efficiency while notably reducing corporate logistics costs. It has successfully attracted foreign trade enterprises from surrounding areas such as Northern Jiangsu and Southern Shandong to choose Lianyungang Port for export, effectively expanding the port’s service radius and business scale. This strongly promotes Lianyungang Port’s accelerated transformation into an integrated logistics hub port for “Customs declaration + Transport + Transshipment”.
