Liberty Marine Fuels has marked 10 years of operations in the bunker brokering business, the company announced.
“A decade ago, Liberty Marine Fuels was founded on a bold vision: to bring transparency, integrity, reliability, and excellence to the world of bunker broking, connecting operators, charterers, shipowners, and bunker suppliers globally,” the company stated in its anniversary announcement.
Based in Aalborg, Denmark, the firm was established in 2015 by founder Jesper Jervild, who began working as a bunker trader back in 1992 and previously held managerial positions at OW Bunker, Peninsula Petroleum, Dynamic Oil Trading and Island Oil.
In its statement, the company thanked clients and partners for their support over the past decade. “To our valued clients and partners — thank you for your trust and loyalty, we couldn’t be where we are without your unwavering support,” the firm said.
Looking ahead, the broker added: “This anniversary is not just about the past; it’s about the bright future ahead. Our mission remains clear: to deliver world-class bunker solutions with the same passion, integrity, and commitment that brought us here.”
Working alongside Jervild is co-owner and broker Rune Pejtersen, who, prior to joining Liberty Marine Fuels in 2018, had worked in two major trading houses: Dan-Bunkering and OW Bunker.
