The mechanics at Grenå Skibsværft have found the cause of the vibrations that could be felt in the fast ferry’s catering area. The vibrations are due to damage to a bearing in the ship’s gear. The fault cannot be repaired domestically, which is why the bearing has now been sent for repair in Germany.
As a consequence, the ferry, as first assumed, will not be back in operation on Monday, but only in week 41 – according to a new announcement on the shipping company’s website.
While the ferry is at the shipyard, Samsø Rederi has put in a commuter bus Monday to Friday with departure from Hou at 6.45 and from DOKK1 at 16.00. Passengers on other departures are referred to the Hou-Sælvig route.
