The American producer accused of not delivering the volumes of liquefied natural gas
London – The British giant BP has obtained a victory in a potentially billion-dollar legal dispute against the US producer Venture Global, accused of not delivering the volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) stipulated in a long-term contract. The agreement, which was supposed to come into effect at the end of 2022, concerned supplies from the Calcasieu Pass project. This is a “partial award,” the company specified, while a separate hearing will determine the amount of damages to be paid, expected next year. BP is seeking compensation of over one billion dollars.
