The shipping company Maersk announced a modification to the itinerary of the Dragon service, a route connecting China with different ports in Oceania. In short, the vessel will no longer call at Shanghai.
The new Dragon route will be as follows: Qingdao (China)-Ningbo-Hong Kong-Yantian-Sydney (Australia)-Melbourne-Brisbane-Qingdao.
In addition, it was reported that “schedules for the ports of Ningbo, Hong Kong and Yantian will be adjusted to improve the overall reliability of the itineraries and reduce the impact of weather-related disruptions and terminal failures on service performance.”
“Exports from Brisbane to Shanghai will now be managed via transshipment in Hong Kong or Tanjung Pelepas, depending on your needs,” it was added in the statement.
The modifications will take effect as of August 21 of the current year with the start of the voyage at the Port of Qingdao.
