Maersk implements peak season surcharges worldwide

To ensure the continued provision of its global services, Maersk will be introducing a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor Leste to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

This surcharge will be effective from 6 May and will apply to dry, reefer and 45 high dry containers.

Furthermore, Maersk will apply the following PSS for shipments from Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor Leste to Kenya. This adjustment will take effect on 6 May and will apply to all dry, reefer and 45 high dry containers.

Moreover, the Danish carrier will implement the following PSS for all 20, 40 and 45 dry containers shipping from China and Hong Kong to Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Namibia, Central African Republic, and Chad, effective from 29 April 2024.

Maersk has also announced a PSS for shipments from Far East Asia (excluding Taiwan and China) to the East Coast of South America for all Dry containers. This adjustment will be effective from 1 May to 31 May 2024.

Additionally, the PSS for shipments from Vietnam to the East Coast of South America will be effective from 8 May to 31 May 2024, while for Taiwan China to the East Coast of South America, it will be effective from 23 May to 31 May 2024.

Moreover, Maersk is implementing the following PSS for all boxes shipping from North China and South Korea to Jawaharlal Nehru and Mundra in India and Pipavav in Pakistan, effective from 1 May.
