Maersk inaugurates new flagship logistics center in Shanghai

AP Moller – Maersk (Maersk) celebrates the grand opening of its flagship logistics center in the Lin-gang area of Shanghai, representing one of the company’s largest investments in storage worldwide.

Built with an investment of over 140 million dollars, this center has an area of 113,000 square meters and offers 147,000 square meters of storage space.

The Lin-gang Flagship Logistics Center offers a full range of logistics services and is designed to serve customers in China, throughout the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

“Our new state-of-the-art logistics center in Lingang represents another milestone in the implementation of Maersk’s integrated logistics strategy in the Chinese market. China is not only the world’s largest exporter but also a key consumer market. These facilities significantly enhance our omnichannel order management capabilities and further strengthen the connection between China and international markets. It is further proof of our commitment to the continuous evolution of our logistics solutions, helping our customers overcome business challenges and seize new growth opportunities,” said Vincent Clerc, CEO of Maersk.

The logistics facility offers four main services, such as a distribution center for exports, imports, logistics /global and cross-border e-commerce. Furthermore, it provides value-added services such as temperature-controlled storage and customized solutions to meet the diverse needs of customers.
