The Port Authority of Marín has just put out to tender the rehabilitation work of the Camoucos beacon tower, equipped with a red port lateral mark with a range of 10 miles. This is a complex maritime project to reinforce the foundation of the tower to ensure its structural stability, as well as the demolition and restoration of part of the tower. Subsequently, the rehabilitation of another beacon tower in the Ria, the Mourisca tower, is planned. In this case, it is a 13-meter-high tower, and it has a green starboard lateral mark with a range of 5 miles. Both are essential elements to ensure the safety of navigation within the Ría de Pontevedra.
