The Royal Thai Navy has said that it was seeking qualified contractors to salvage the HTMS Sukhothai. The Navy said that the recovery would be challenging due to the vessel having sunk to a depth of about 50 metres, making salvage difficult without risking further damage to the vessel. Five crew members remained missing. The committee examining the cause of the tragedy has completed interviews with 289 witnesses, including surviving
crew members, ship mechanics, and volunteers who assisted in the search and rescue
mission. The navy is also reviewing witness testimonies and will determine why
the ship sank after inspecting the salvaged vessel.

A crew member of container ship Hong Prosperity (IMO 9256418) sustained injuries in an accident in the engine room of the ship on February 10th. He suffered an injury to his head which needed stictches, as well as injuries to his ribs and spine. The victim was taken to a
private hospital in Kocji for treatment.

2003-built, Panama-flagged, 16,145 gt Hong Prosperity is owned by Welton Shipping Co Ltd care of manager Safe Ships Ltd, Qingdao, Shandong, China. It is entered with Steamship Mutual (Eastern Syndicate) on behalf of Welton Shipping Co Ltd. As of February 12th the vessel was underway in the Laccadive Sea, south of Matara at Cochin Anchorage, Sri Lanka.

A fire broke out aboard /oil products tanker Seaven Horizon (IMO 9280108) around midday on February 12th in the Kokkari area of the Greek island of Samos, with 17 crew members on board, while the tanker was unloading fuel. Officials of the Port Authority rushed to the
scene and found a fire at the bow in an anchor-handling mechanism. A patrol vessel, a lifeboat, two patrol vehicles and a team of the Samos Fire Service were mobilized. The fire was extinguished relatively quickly. The Samos Port Authority launched an investigation and banned the ship from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the surveyor monitoring the ship, and repairs of the damage.

2003-built, Greece-flagged, 2,768 gt Seaven Horizon is owned by Modena Maritime Co care of Seaven tanker Management Inc of Piraeus, Greece. It is entered with North of England on behalf of Modena MC. As of February 15th the vessel was en route from Kokkari, Greece, to Elefsis, Greece, ETA February 15th.

/vehicle RoRo Dharma Rucitra I (IMO8921767) was in collision with the barge Butun in the mouth of the Barito River in the territorial waters of the Province of South Kalimantan, Indonesia during the afternoon of February 11th. The vessel was en route from
Surabaya to Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin. The barge, loaded with coal, was being towed
by tug MBP 2202 (IMO 9953602). The ferry suffered damaged to its bow on the port side. After the incident, the Dharma Rucitra I arrived safely at Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin. No injuries were reported. The accident was under investigation by the South Kalimantan Police Ditpolair.

1990-built, Indonesia-flagged, 6,698 gt Dharma Rucitra I is owned and managed by Dharma Lautan Utama Pt of Surabaya, Indonesia. As of february 15th its status was listed as Stopped, at Banjarmasin port, Indonesia.
