On June 16, the 9000DWT special liquid cargo ship (MW518-4) built by Mawei Shipbuilding under Fujian Shipbuilding was successfully launched.
The ship has an overall length of 119.8 meters, a design speed of 13 knots, and a endurance of 12,000 nautical miles. It adopts a new low-resistance hull form and is equipped with multiple energy-saving devices, placing its energy efficiency and emission reduction levels at the forefront of the industry, meeting the IMO Tier III nitrogen oxide emission standards. The cargo tanks are specially designed to safely carry various liquid cargoes such as asphalt, refined oil with a flash point above 60°C, and Class II chemicals, fully meeting the diverse needs of customers. In addition, the ship is equipped with advanced navigation and digital intelligent monitoring systems, significantly enhancing safety control and operational efficiency. It is a modern special vessel with high technical content and strict environmental standards.
In the next phase, the project team will focus on mooring tests and sea trials, concentrate resources on advancing equipment commissioning and system integration, simultaneously strengthen safety and quality process control, ensure the efficient implementation of key milestones, and make every effort to sprint towards the goal of on-time delivery.
