AV Dawson Limited, parent company of Port of Middlesbrough, celebrated the arrival at its docks of the Leonardo Da Vinci (LDV), Prysmian’s vessel, the world’s largest cable-laying ship.

The ship called at the English terminal on its way back to its base in Northern Europe, precisely at the Port of Middlesbrough.

During its visit, the Leonardo Da Vinci carried out cable winding operations in its on-site warehouse, demonstrating the scale, capacity and flexibility of the port to support complex offshore and energy sector activities.

“We are proud to facilitate specialized operations such as cable winding, reinforcing our role as a key hub for renewable and submarine offshore infrastructure in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe,” stated AV Dawson Limited.
