The items were located inside a container during the unloading maneuvers of a container ship. Likewise, on board the vessel where the cargo was found, there were two men in an irregular migratory status, who were in good health and were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to determine their legal situation.

FGR personnel carried out the corresponding procedures for the weighing, counting and identification of the evidence. The seized cargo was placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s agent, who will integrate the case investigation file.

These actions are part of the permanent port inspection, surveillance and protection operations carried out by the Secretariat of the Navy, through the Mexican Navy, in coordination with authorities from the three levels of government, to prevent and inhibit the illicit trafficking of prohibited substances and contribute to the security of the country.
