Manzanillo Port, in Mexico, recorded a 10.8% increase in mineral bulk movement between January and September 2025, compared to the same period the previous year.
According to statistics from the Manzanillo National Port System Administration, in the similar period of 2024, 3 million 189 thousand 226 tons of minerals were transferred, while in the current stage, 3 million 533 thousand 845 tons of materials were handled.
Last year, the arrival of ships with that type of merchandise reached a total of 112, recording instead 129 ships during the course of January to September 2025.
Among the minerals mobilized in Manzanillo are sulfur, cement, zinc concentrate, mineral fertilizer, iron pellets, urea, potassium nitrate, gypsum, among others.
