According to the relevant announcement, the interventions were implemented within the framework of the program “Together in the Border Areas” and include the creation of three STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) spaces, three creative activity rooms, a ZEP (Zones of Educational Priority) department, as well as libraries and special reading corners.
In parallel, two kindergartens, two vocational training laboratories and one computer laboratory were upgraded, while all schools were supplied with educational and athletic material.
Through the program implemented since 2019, over 20,000 students have been supported and the efforts of thousands of teachers in schools of the regional units of Evros, Rodopi, Xanthi and Kalymnos have been strengthened.
