MOL fixes LPG newbuilds with TotalEnergies

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has contracted Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (pictured) to build a pair of 88,000 cu m LPG carriers.

The 230 m long LPG-fuelled ships will go on time charter to France’s TotalEnergies when they deliver in 2026. No price has been revealed for the newbuilds. The ships will be able to transport ammonia as well as LPG.

MOL has long-held relationship with TotalEnergies in many fields, including the transport of marine fuel oil and long- term charter contracts for LNG carriers and LNG bunkering vessels.
