Monjasa has consolidated its position as one of the leading global bunker fuel suppliers
Bunker supply group Monjasa, which has a strong presence in the Middle East region, has for the fifth consecutive year recorded increasing demand for its global marine fuels services. The Group concluded the financial year 2021 with a net profit of US$ 22million, delivering a record high 5.7million tonnes of marine fuels to shipowners and operators worldwide, up from 4.9 million tonnes in 2020.
Since 2017, Monjasa has increased total volume by 63% and is now established as one of the world’s top 10 largest marine fuel suppliers. The record volume in 2021 was obtained through operations across all regions, but most notably in the Americas where soaring demand at US ports and the expansion of Monjasa’s supply operations in the Panama Canal, Colombia and the Port of Houston boosted regional supply to a total of 1.95 million tonnes up from 1.4 million tonnes in 2020.
