MSC announced the launch of a new standalone service named Sambar, connecting China with Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. The company also reported upcoming enhancements to its Pertiwi and Orchid services, which will begin in October and November 2025.
The Sambar service will provide additional direct corridors and faster transit times. The first sailing is scheduled with MSC Vigour HR544A, estimated to arrive in Dalian on 29 October 2025.
Its full rotation will include Dalian, Incheon, Tianjin Xingang, Qingdao, Da Chan Bay, Dong Nai, Laem Chabang, Singapore, Penang, Pasir Gudang, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Busan and return to Dalian.
The Pertiwi service is set for an upgrade to establish faster connections from North and South China to Indonesia. Its first sailing, Athena HW544A, is expected in Busan on 29 October 2025.
The rotation will cover Busan, Dalian, Tianjin Xingang, Qingdao, Shekou, Singapore, Jakarta, Panjang, Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nansha and back to Busan.
The Orchid service, which connects South China and Vietnam, will be enhanced starting November 2025. The first sailing, MSC Makalu III HD545A, is expected to reach Fuzhou on 5 November 2025. Its route includes Fuzhou, Shantou, Hong Kong, Shekou, Yantian, Haiphong, Singapore, Qinzhou, Hong Kong and back to Fuzhou.
