MSC first opened its Spanish offices in 1982
MSC to maintain its firm commitment to enabling trade to and from Spain as it celebrates its 40th anniversary within the region.
The company opened its first Spanish offices in May 1982 in Valencia and Barcelona and today MSC Spain boasts over 600 staff dedicated to servicing the needs of its customers in the country.’

As of Q1 2022, the company operates 14 offices in the country: Valencia, Algeciras, Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cadiz, Gijon, Las Palmas, Madrid, Malaga, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Sevilla, Vigo and Zaragoza.
MSC also has a Shipping Instruction processing centre in Valencia which handles local clients’ Bill of Lading production.
The Group has also invested in a dedicated terminal in Valencia, a key hub for MSC’s Mediterranean trade and the main port for Spain.
It is strategically located in the middle of Spain’s coastline and well-connected to the economic areas of Madrid, Eastern Andalucia and key regions in the Mediterranean corridor such as Castellon, Valencia and Alicante.
MSC also has port terminal investments in Bilbao in the north of Spain and Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, one of the company’s main hubs in the Atlantic.
The Group continues to adjust its service network, including launching new services and adjusting rotations to cater to new growth opportunities.
Most recently, a direct connection was established to Philadelphia via MSC’s INDUS 2 Service, providing new opportunities for the region’s fruit trade in the US.
MSC has been offering door-to-door services in Spain since 2001 and today provides a full range of logistics and supply chain services for customers through its logistics arm, MEDLOG.
It also continuously develops its digital tools and technologies to provide easy-to-use, flexible and reliable online solutions to enhance the customer experience like its electronic Bill of Lading (eBL).
