Nassau Cruise Port (NCP) reported that it received 33,254 cruise passengers on June 8, 2026, setting a record for people served in a single day. The guests came from six ships: Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, Caribbean Princess, and Disney Fantasy.
This milestone surpasses the mark of 30,538 passengers, reached on March 11, 2025, by approximately 8.9%.
“This is a significant achievement and a source of pride for Nassau Cruise Port and for the Bahamas. Reaching 33,000 passengers was an important milestone for us, and reaching 33,254 visitors in a single day reflects the strength of Nassau as a cruise destination, the confidence of our partner cruise lines, and the dedication of the teams and stakeholders who support the visitor experience here,” said Mike Maura, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Nassau Cruise Port.
“This milestone is not just about volume. It represents an economic opportunity for the entire destination. High-traffic cruise days benefit retailers, restaurants, tour operators, transportation providers, attractions, artisans, artists, and a wide range of other Bahamian businesses that benefit from cruise passenger activity,” added Maura Jr.
The executive added that the port shares this achievement with tour operators, artisans, retailers, transportation providers, artists, downtown businesses, and tourism partners who work to welcome visitors to the Bahamas.
NCP noted that this achievement reflects the continued growth of cruise tourism in Nassau and its ongoing investment in port capacity and operational efficiency, among other things.
