New directors take office at PortosRio

PortosRio has sworn in three new directors, strengthening its corporate governance and reaffirming its commitment to administrative efficiency, business sustainability, and excellence in port operations. The election took place during an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors (CONSAD).

The swearing-in ceremony for Ricardo Ganem Leal and Francisco José de Sousa Diogo took place on September 25, while Hideraldo Luis Aragão Mouta officially assumed his function on September 26.

Ricardo Ganem is the new Director of Port Management. Previously the Superintendent of Business Sustainability at PortosRio, he is a public manager currently working in port and waterway management, with an emphasis on sustainability. He also has experience in governance applied to the remediation of environmental and land liabilities with the ports of PortosRio. He holds a doctorate in Energy and Environmental Planning and a master’s degree in Environmental Management and Auditing, and has several specializations in Public Management, Law, and Environmental Engineering. For his work in environmental and institutional causes, he has received decorations from civil and military bodies.

Francisco Diogo assumed the role of Administrative-Financial Director. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and has experience in leadership and administrative management. In Nova Russas, he was a councilman and president of the City Council, municipal secretary of Administration and Finance, and secretary of Economic Planning and Articulation for the City Hall. He also served as General Director of the City Council of Belford Roxo, where he was responsible for financial control, strategic planning, and the development of internal policies focused on improving the organizational environment.

Hideraldo Mouta was sworn in as Director of Business and Sustainability. A Port and Environmental Engineer, with an MBA in Port Management and Logistics, and a bachelor’s degree in Nautical Sciences, he has over 45 years of experience in port management and operation. He presided over PortosRio between 2016 and 2017 and held leadership positions in important Brazilian ports, such as Itaqui, Salvador, Santos, Aratu, and Ponta da Madeira. His career also includes international experience, with training carried out in the ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg, in addition to work in dredging projects, port logistics, and environmental sustainability.
