New Times Shipbuilding celebrates steel cutting of two tankers

New Times Shipbuilding (TNS), in China, celebrated the success of the steel cutting for two new 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel crude oil tankers.

The shipyard held steel cutting ceremonies for the tanker with hull construction number 0315846 at an event attended and witnessed by representatives from the shipyard, the Maran site team, and the classification society LR (Lloyd’s Register).

Meanwhile, the ship with the same characteristics with number 0315872 was presented with executives from the shipyard, the Capital Site team, and LR.

“Both 155,500 DWT crude oil tankers will be propelled by LNG dual-fuel or Liquefied Natural Gas, which underscores the ongoing commitment to cleaner and more efficient vessels in the maritime industry,” stated New Times Shipbuilding.
