On the morning of July 21, the LNG dual-fuel-powered oil tanker “PATHWAY” (Hull No. 0315811#), the 11th 155,500-ton vessel built by New Times Shipbuilding for Singaporean shipowner Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), was officially signed and delivered. This marks the 500th 10,000-ton-class vessel delivered in New Times Shipbuilding’s history.

Liu Haijin, General Manager of New Times Shipbuilding, and Zhang Yuyong, Executive Deputy General Manager, attended the ceremony alongside guests including Mr. Tay Gak Yong, Commercial Director of EPS, Mr. Manoj Wadhwani, Technical Director of Newbuilding Projects, and on-site manager Ni Jie. Executive Deputy General Manager Zhang Yuyong and EPS Commercial Director Mr. Tay Gak Yong jointly signed the delivery documents.

The “PATHWAY” is the first vessel in EPS’s series order of 155,500-ton oil tankers and also the first LNG dual-fuel-powered Suezmax tanker developed and built by New Times Shipbuilding. Its completion and delivery further expand the company’s green vessel product portfolio, solidify its leading position in green shipbuilding, and add a significant milestone to the grand vision of “New Times for a Century.”

The vessel has an overall length of 274.3 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 269.9 meters, a beam of 48 meters, a depth of 23.2 meters, a design draft of 16 meters, and a structural draft of 17.15 meters. Its cargo tank capacity (including slop tanks and residue tanks) is 172,000 cubic meters.

The “PATHWAY” is the 25th vessel delivered by New Times Shipbuilding to EPS and the company’s 500th vessel since delivering its first 10,000-ton-class ship, the “Hongchun,” in 1998. Its successful delivery reflects the company’s continuous breakthroughs from traditional ship types to green, high-value-added vessels, showcasing its superior customer service, top-tier product quality, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Over 27 illustrious years, New Times Shipbuilding has achieved the remarkable feat of delivering 500 vessels totaling over 55 million deadweight tons—averaging one 110,000-ton ocean-going vessel every 20 days. Through wisdom and hard work, it has created one “shipbuilding miracle” after another, driving rapid progress toward high-quality development with lean production and digital-intelligent transformation.
