The Danish product tanker and dry bulk carrier has appointed Christian Antonsen as the new head of dry bulk in the business unit Freight Services & Trading (FST), Norden announces in a press release.
Christian Antonsen has been recruited to Norden from a position as Global Ocean Freight Director at the agricultural company Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and will assume his new job on January 1, 2026.
As the new Head of Dry Cargo in the business unit, he will lead Norden’s team of 100 employees within dry bulk as well as the company’s fleet of around 300 dry bulk vessels, ranging from project and breakbulk cargo to Capesize.
“Christian joins Norden from one of our important customers, and we look forward to the insight, leadership, and strategic thinking he brings to our commercial business,” says Anne Jensen, who is COO at Norden.
“As an experienced leader in dry bulk shipping who also represents our values and purpose, Christian will continue our work of strengthening our customer offering and differentiating Norden from our competitors by leveraging data, thinking unconventionally, and implementing new innovative processes.”
In addition to leading the FST business unit, Christian will support the shipping company’s strategic direction and customer focus, and collaborate across the organization with other business segments such as tanker and logistics to ensure coherence and the utilization of synergies, Norden writes in the press release.
