Arendal Port (Arendal Havn) awarded Asplan Viak the contract for the detailed design of Phase 1 of a RoPax vessel.

The company was selected as the consultant for the detailed design of Phase 1 of RoPax at Eydehavn, an important step in the development of a modern terminal for both passengers and rolling stock.

“Asplan Viak presented a very strong proposal, backed by extensive interdisciplinary experience in port planning, geotechnics, traffic, water and sewage, electricity, emergency preparedness, and architecture. The team has strong local roots and extensive experience in port and terminal projects, which will contribute to a safe and efficient implementation,” notes Arendal Havn.

The design will begin in week 12 and the tender for construction will be ready in autumn. This marks the start of a new phase in the development of Eydehavn as the most important logistics hub in the region.
