The company: “There will be no variation in the service coverage”
Singapore – Ocean Network Express (One) has communicated to its clients that no new surcharges will be applied nor are there any modifications planned for the service coverage, despite the announcement from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (Ustr) regarding the introduction of new tariffs on maritime services. In fact, as is now known and also officially confirmed by the Ustr, starting from October 14, new service tariffs will come into effect for maritime transport operated by vessels owned, managed, or built in China that call at US ports. These tariffs will be progressively increased over the next three years. One has confirmed that no new surcharges will be applied in relation to these measures: at the moment, no additional tariffs are planned for clients. Furthermore, there will be no variation in the service coverage: the company does not foresee changes to its port rotations or sailing schedules.One has also assured that it will continue to closely monitor the regulatory developments and will provide timely updates in case of news.
