Recently, Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited has reported frequent successes, achieving the start of construction for one vessel, the naming of one vessel, and the delivery of two vessels. The company is deeply engaged in green shipbuilding, honing its strength through practical and efficient work, and polishing its brand with craftsmanship and quality, continuously creating high-end green and high-quality vessels for the global shipping market, and striving to meet its annual targets with a vigorous momentum.

On May 11, the naming ceremony for the 85,000-ton bulk carrier No. 5 “ANAFI I”, built by Huangpu Wenchong for Sea Traders, was held at the Longxue plant area, laying a solid foundation for the company to complete its annual delivery tasks and injecting new, more efficient, and cleaner power into the circulation of global commodities.

This vessel is a bulk carrier of the company’s independently developed brand “Sea Whale” series, with an overall length of 228.9 meters, a beam of 36 meters, a depth of 20.15 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 85,000 tons. It is equipped with 7 cargo holds, hydraulic hatch covers, a shaft generator, a scrubber, and other equipment, catering to various transportation needs such as ore, coal, and grain. It boasts significant advantages in fuel savings at the same speed, earning recognition from global shipowners.

On May 11, the naming ceremony and signing delivery of the 32,000-ton multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel No. 8 “AAL MUMBAI”, built by Huangpu Wenchong for AAL Shipping, a subsidiary of the Schoeller Holdings Group, were held at the Wenchong plant area. This marks the first delivery of a heavy-lift vessel from the Wenchong plant area in many years, maintaining and consolidating the shipbuilding capability for heavy-lift vessels at the Wenchong plant area.

Designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute, this vessel is equipped with a methanol-ready dual-fuel main engine, fully meeting the stringent environmental regulations of EEDI Phase III, NOx Tier III, and HPSCR. It has obtained the DNV methanol-ready special class notation and can flexibly adapt to the long-distance transportation needs of various categories such as complete sets of wind power equipment, large engineering heavy pieces, containers, and bulk cargo. It features green energy efficiency, flexible loading, strong adaptability to working conditions, and leading comprehensive performance in the industry.

On May 8, the 4300TEU container ship No. 7, built by Huangpu Wenchong for Regional Container Lines (RCL) of Thailand, officially started construction at the Longxue plant area.

Designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute, this vessel is a representative work of Huangpu Wenchong’s medium-sized container ships. It adopts a low-resistance hull form, paired with a low-fuel-consumption main engine, and accommodates the stacking of various sizes of containers. It is equipped with an open scrubber system and a high-voltage shore power system, featuring significant advantages such as low energy consumption, strong cargo adaptability, green environmental protection, and economic efficiency, meeting the shipowner’s needs for efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly ship transportation.
