Opentop, Valenciaport’s innovation hub, announces the celebration of the third edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC), which will take place on October 22nd at the City of Arts and Sciences (Valencia-Spain), within the framework of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS).
A gathering that brings together the main players of the global port ecosystem
PEIC has established itself as one of the most relevant events on the international port entrepreneurship calendar. The day will begin with an opening dialogue between Mar Chao, President of the Valencia Port Authority, and Antonio Torregrosa, General Director of Fundación Valenciaport, who will open the doors of innovation at Valenciaport to a global audience of industry professionals.
The program includes a Port Innovators Network (PIN) session, with representation from the innovation hubs of the ports of Halifax (Canada), Hamburg (Germany), Tyne (UK), and San Diego (USA); as well as an interesting reverse pitching session where experts will present the latest trends in international investment within the port sector.
The congress will address four strategic thematic axes: blue economy, energy transition and sustainability, logistics chain efficiency, and port security and resilience. In each of these blocks, three startups will present their innovative solutions, followed by roundtable discussions bringing together sector experts and venture capital representatives.

International networking and recognition of innovation
Since its inception, PEIC has been characterized by its ability to generate synergies among the different agents of the port ecosystem. This year, the PEIC Audience Award will be launched for the first time, an accolade that will recognize the startup most voted by congress attendees, thus reinforcing the participatory and open nature of the event.
