Ørsted has confirmed that Per Mejnert Kristensen will join the company on 1 August 2022 with the task of scaling its business in the Asia Pacific region
Mr Kristensen has more than 20 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure projects across Asia. Before joining Ørsted, he headed FLSmidth Group’s Asia business as senior vice president. FLSmidth is a global supplier to the cement and mining industries with an industry-leading sustainability programme.
Ørsted group deputy chief executive and chief commercial officer Martin Neubert said, “Per will play an instrumental role maturing and growing our development portfolio and expanding our footprint in the region.”
Ørsted has a regional commercial hub in Taipei and is currently developing projects in Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam. Mr Kristensen will be based in Taipei and work closely with the company’s Asia Pacific leadership team and more than 200 employees across the region.
