General Information

Hong Kong Port is one of the world’s busiest and most efficient container ports, ranked among the top 10 globally in container throughput. Operated by the Hong Kong Marine Department under the Transport and Logistics Bureau, it serves as a major gateway for trade between East Asia and other global markets. The port consists of multiple terminals located in Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Stonecutters Island, Tuen Mun, and other areas, with a total of 24 berths across 6 container terminals. The port handles a vast range of cargo types and serves both deep-sea and feeder vessels, with an annual container throughput exceeding 18 million TEUs (2022 data).
