Leading European developer Parkwind has teamed up with Intrakat, part of Intracom Holdings, a leading construction company in the country, to develop offshore windfarms in Greece
With its headquarters in Greece and a significant international presence, Intracom Holdings is a leading player in Greece’s construction sector and delivers an integrated portfolio of activities, including infrastructure projects, environmental and real estate development projects.
Intrakat Group significantly enhanced its activity in renewable energy in 2021, and currently has a portfolio of more than 1 GW. It is also expanding into electricity storage and has licences for the development of nine projects.
Parkwind chief executive François Van Leeuw said, “With a partner like Intrakat, we know that we have what it takes to offer Greece the best of offshore wind. The complementary nature of our partnership is the key to developing a value proposition that can kick-start offshore wind in Greece.”
Intrakat chief executive Petros Souretis (far right in photo) said he expects Greece to develop offshore wind at scale in the coming years.
