The port of Pasaia has improved its score by two tenths in the exam that the automotive sector carries out annually through the Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers (Anfac), which grants the dock a 4.1 out of 5, placing it in the TOP5, only behind Tarragona, Santander and Sagunto. The most highly rated aspects have been road accessibility and service flexibility, which were rated with a 4.7 out of 5. “The work we are carrying out to improve rail access will be key to continue improving the satisfaction of the automotive companies that operate in the port,” highlighted Izaskun Goñi, president of the Port Authority of Pasaia.
In 2024, vehicle traffic in the dock was 241,964 units, the majority of them (98.2%) exported to other countries. A rail share of 48.5% was achieved, being one of the strong points of Pasaia’s automotive logistics.
