Pasifik Teknoloji, which has a wide product portfolio ranging from rotary-wing unmanned helicopters to kamikaze UAV systems and the ability to develop three different UAV technologies simultaneously, and Özata Tersanecilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Özata Tersanesi), which is undertaking increasingly important projects in the field of Civil and Military Shipbuilding and Repair, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to evaluate cooperation opportunities in the maritime and defense industry.
The aforementioned cooperation covers a wide technological area, primarily including unmanned surface vehicles, hybrid platforms, autonomous and semi-autonomous systems, and unmanned underwater vehicles.
Within the scope of this cooperation, the parties aim to conduct joint work to develop innovative solutions for military, security and civilian use areas in line with Turkey’s defense industry goals, to strengthen maritime security and critical facility protection systems, and to introduce competitive products in international markets.
With the combination of Pasifik Teknoloji’s experience in unmanned systems, autonomy and mission management technologies and Özata Tersanesi’s strong infrastructure in the design, production and integration of marine platforms, it is foreseen that a significant synergy will be created in the field of next-generation marine systems.
In this context, the parties may form joint working groups for the purpose of identifying potential project areas, conducting technical feasibility studies, evaluating prototype development processes, and introducing advanced technology solutions that can be integrated into different platforms.
While the aforementioned cooperation aims to contribute to increasing Turkey’s competence in the maritime and defense industry, it is also considered an important step towards the development of multi-layered operational capabilities and strengthening export potential.
