China News Service, Nanning, June 25 (Lin Jieqi) On June 25, the Pinglu Canal Youth Hub initiated water-filled joint commissioning, marking the Pinglu Canal hub project’s entry into the water-filled joint commissioning phase.
The purpose of this water-filled joint commissioning is to, under centralized control mode, systematically verify the command execution accuracy of each lock operation equipment, the hydraulic characteristics of filling and emptying, as well as the operational stability of the electrical control system under water-filled working conditions. At the same time, it conducts a comprehensive inspection of the performance of core equipment such as the lock metal structures, hoists, electrical control equipment, and centralized control system.
The joint commissioning successively simulated two lockage modes: vessels descending and ascending, fully replicating the entire process of vessels entering and leaving the lock chamber, opening and closing lock gates (valves), and raising and lowering water levels, with a focus on verifying the synchronous linkage effect of multiple devices. After the completion of the single-lane lock joint commissioning, the largest-scale mutual irrigation and drainage lock joint commissioning in China will also be carried out.
Currently, all builders are going all out to win the “four tough battles”: the final battle of channel sweeping, the tough battle of lock joint commissioning, the major battle of supporting projects, and the coordinated battle of logistics organization. This water-filled joint commissioning is precisely a key link in the “tough battle of lock joint commissioning,” directly affecting the safety and reliability of lock operation.
Next, the Pinglu Canal construction management team will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the performance of each lock equipment and the centralized control system. Relying on the digital management platform and the fully autonomous lock control system, they will meticulously record and analyze commissioning data, strictly control commissioning quality, and lay a solid foundation for subsequent real-ship lockage tests.
