1. Vessel-Related Charges
– Tonnage Dues:
– International vessels: JPY 18.5/GT (first 10,000 GT) + JPY 14.2/GT (excess) per call (Aomori Port Ordinance No.12-2023)
– Domestic vessels: 60% of international rate (MLIT Notice 2023-15)
– Port Dues:
– Base fee: JPY 0.25/GT (cap JPY 300,000) per entry
– Extended stay: Additional JPY 0.12/GT/day after 48 hours (North Wharf only)
– Pilotage:
– Compulsory for vessels >500 GT or LOA >100m (Japan Coast Guard Regulation Art.38)
– Daytime (0600-1800): JPY 85,000 (10,000-20,000 GT band)
– Nighttime: 150% of daytime rate
– Emergency pilot: Additional JPY 25,000 surcharge

– Bonded stores handling: JPY 15,000/declaration
– Communications:
– Satellite phone rental: JPY 8,500/day (Inmarsat)

5. Operational Compliance Notes
– All tankers must submit SOPEP 24h prior arrival (Japan Coast Guard Order 30)
