5.4% decline: the decrease is mainly attributable to the reduction in liquid bulk
Algeciras – The port of Algeciras handled 50.5 million tons in the first half of 2025, recording a 5.4% decline compared to the same period the previous year. The decrease is mainly attributable to the reduction in liquid bulk, which stood at 13.9 million tons (-5%). However, June data confirms the recovery that began in May. Exports through the port, on the other hand, showed a 6.8% growth.
